YOGA FOR SOCIAL ACTIVISM

HOW TO BE WARRIOR FOR CHANGE

As the yoga and globalization continue to expand, how do we shift our practice into one of service, activsim, and global change? By taking a deeper look into how to use the tool of yoga or “union” into a holistic life-style that encourages tangible compassion, mindful action, and social outreach, we are able to create a world in which we are both supported and supportive.

When yoga is taken out of the studio and into the world that the greatest shift in consciousness occurs because we have the opportunity to realize and see through first-hand experience for ourselves that we are, in fact, all one. Winning the lottery of life by not having to second guess where our next meal will come from or where we will be sleeping, makes it our global responsibility to stand up and give voice to those we are unable to.

This workshop invites you to explore Seva (service), Self-Care, and Sangha (community) to embark on a journey with founder of Souljourn Yoga, Jordan Ashley to experience what it means to be a warrior of globalnchange in  by discovering causes that resonate with hearts and putting mindful action behind it.

A SOULJOURN YOGA & SOUND UNIVERSE LONDON COLLABORATION

Kate and Jordan invite you to explore what it means to be a yogini both on and off the yoga mat. At the beginning of the workshop, you will be asked to journal and have a discussion about different kinds of ways to create heart-opening through practicing compassion and kindness. So often as women, we are asked to be many things to many people which leave us feeling drained and exhausted. As western women in particular, it is our duty to use our blessing of education and choice to spread the word about embracing both the ferocity and femininity of being an empowered women to ensure that our global sisters be given the same opportunities that we sometimes take for granted. With the integration of the spiritual aspects of yoga, we will use the heat and strength that we build in our practice to lead us into the fearless part of our being. Feel inspired with loads of sun salutations, challenging movements taking you around your mat and deep into your mind.
